The MP3 Editor provides the following functions:
 | Allows MP3 files to be deleted, renamed and moved. Renaming and moving can be done within the current drive and directory or across drives and directories. |
| Add, modify and delete MP3v1 tags. |
| Add, modify and delete MP3v2 tags. The delete function will also cleanup unused space between the version 2 tag and the beginning of the music. |
| Copy MP3v2 tag information into the MP3v1 tag and vice-versa. |
| Modify the filename based upon tag information and create tag information from the filename.. |
| Allows multiple files to be viewed at one time in a detailed spreadsheet format. |
The main MP3 Editor screen displays information about the currently selected drive and directory. The screen also displays ID3 version 1 tag information in a spreadsheet format.
The ID3 version 1 tab displays all the information about the selected MP3's version 1 tag information, including: artist name, album name, song name, year recorded, a user defined comment, the specific track from the original media as well as the genre (type of music). The information can be modified or deleted as necessary. The MP3 Editor uses simple screens like this to make editing quick and easy.
The ID3 version 2 tab displays all the information about the selected MP3's version 2 tag information, including: artist name, album name, song name, year recorded, a user defined comment, the specific track from the original media as well as the genre (type of music). Additional information, such as lyrics and cover art are not loaded, display or saved (this information tends to increase the size of the MP3 file without adding any additional benefit to the users ability to search or listen to the content). Once again, the information can be modified or deleted as necessary and the MP3 Editor uses simple screens like this to make editing quick and easy.
